Nikolaus Riemann, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Kronstadt under the command of Lieutenant Samuel Gibbs.
Nikolaus Riemann, a single man, settled in the Volga German colony of Pfeifer on 15 June 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 36 along with a note that he is living in the household of Mayor (Vorsteher) Gulder. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Riemann and Gulder families.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Nikolaus Riemann came from the German region of Würzburg.
