Sebastian Leinen, a mason (Maurer), and his wife Anna settled in the Volga German colony of Ober-Monjou on 23 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 69.

The 1767 census records that Sebastian Leinen came from village of Bellingen in Luxembourg.
