Peter Hecker, a farmer, and his wife Maria Margaretha are recorded on the 1767 census of Preuss in Household No. 72. They had settled there on 15 July 1767.
The 1767 census records that Peter Hecker came from the German Oberbrechen in the Kurtrier region.
