Gertrude Simpel (age 7) is recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 109 along with her stepfather Friedrich Kaweiler.
The 1767 census does not record from where Gertrude Simpel came.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
