History

Biryuchiy was a khutor (farmstead) founded in 1871.

Before 1917 there was a Bethaus (church/school building), a school, and two windmills in the colony.

Today, nothing exists of this former Volga German colony.

Founded by Lutheran colonists. Before 1917, there was a Bethaus (combination church/school) building in the colony. The congregation in Biryuchiy belonged to the parish headquartered in Gnadenflur.
