Otto George Denning, son of Jacob J. Denning & Magdalena Windholz, was born 28 December 1912 in Hays, Kansas.

"Dutch" Denning was a professional baseball player spending most of his 20-year career in the minor leagues.

He began his career in the minor leagues playing for Minneapolis. He joined the Cleveland Indians as catcher and played there for the 1942 and 1943 seasons. After that he played for the Milwaukee Brewers and then to Oklahoma City.

He died on 25 May 1992 in Chicago.

Denning's Volga German ancestors came from the daughter colony of Liebental.
