Johannes Kropp [sic], son of Johann Henrich Kropp, was baptized 18 December 1707 in Wolf. He married in Aulendiebach on 16 February 1741 to Anna Catharina [surname not recorded].
The baptism of a son to Johannes & Anna Catharina Gropp is recorded in the parish register of Aulendiebach: Johann Conrad, baptized 1 March 1755.
Widow Anna Gropp and her children (Anna, age 22; Dorothea, age 17½; Maria, age 15¼; Konrad, age 12) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard an English frigate named Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Johannes [Konrad] Gropp (age 12), the orphaned son of Johannes Gropp, is recorded on the 1767 census of Balzer in Household No. 67 along with the Andreas Grün family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Gropp and Grün families.

The death in 1825 of Konrad Gropp is recorded on the 1834 census of Balzer in Household No. 114.
