Sisters [a] Kanetta [Johannetta] Klein and [b] Katharina Klein (age 19) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 August 1766 aboard a ship named Der Friede (Peace) under the command of Skipper Hans Karck.
[a] Widow Maria Johannetta Pförner [née Klein] and her daughter Regina (age 6-months) are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou (No. 30) along with a note that they settled in the Volga German colony of Zürich in 1768.
[b] Katharina Klein, a single woman (age 23), is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Nieder-Monjou in Household No. 61.
It is not known in which colony she settled.
The 1767 census records that Maria Johannetta Pförner [née Klein] came from the German village of Zersardel [?] and that Katharina Klein came from the German village of Sechshelden.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Klein family among the Volga German colonies.
