Johann Pecher, a blacksmith, his wife Elisabeth, mother[-in-law] Anna [Block], and sisters-in-law (Anna [Block], age 17¼; Gertruda [Block], age 15) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 2 August 1766 aboard an English frigate named Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Widow Anna Block and her daughters (Elisabet [sic], age 18; Gerdrut [sic], age 15) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Gertrude Block, wife of Johannes Feller, is recorded on the 1798 census of Näb in Household No. Nb28.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Block family among the Volga German colonies.
