Church:
The first mention of a church building in what today is called Unterhaun dates to a reference to "Freuzkapelle on the Kirchberg" in 972. It was replaced by a series of buildings, the last of which fell into disrepair.
In 1736, a new church was constructed in the Baroque style. It was designed by the Schmalkelden master builder A. G. Erdinger.
