Anna Maria Burgardt, a single woman, and her sister Susanna (age 17¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a pinque named Каргополь (Kargopol: a Russian City) under the command of Captain Lieutenant Moses Davydov.
Anna Maria Burgardt married Johann Hartmann and is recorded on the 1767 census of Köhler in Household No. 83 along with her sister Maria Susanna (age 18). [See Hartmann Family.] They had arrived in Köhler on 21 August 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Anna Maria Burgardt came from the German region of Darmstadt.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Burgardt family among the Volga German colonies.
