Discussion & Documentation
Ernst Worms von Schmiederberg (age 44), a Prussian Lieutenant (Preussischer Leutenant), his wife Maria Elisabeth née Leon (age 39), and daughters (Wilhelmina Karolina, age 20; Friederika Louisa, age 9½) are recorded on the 1776 Katharinenstadt Grundbuch [Land Register] in Household No. 158 along with a note that they are beurlaubt [on leave] in Saratov.
The 1776 Katharinenstadt Land Register records that Ernst Worms von Schmiederberg came from the German village of Rassdorf in Sachsen (Saxony), that his wife came from Magdeburg, and that the daughters had been born in Rabenstein in Sachsen (Saxony).
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
