History
Gattung was founded on the right bank of the Mius River 32 kilometers northeast of Fyedorovka.
Today, Gattung is part of the village of Stepanovka, across the river from the town of Mius.
Church
Both Lutheran and Catholic settlers were among those who founded Gattung.
