History
Köppental was a khutor (farmstead) located along the banks of the Mius River west of Fyedorovka. It was founded by Mennonite Volga Germans.
Following the deportation in 1941, the khutor was called Bogdashino. Today it is abandoned.
Church
The original inhabitants of Köppental were Mennonite.
