Bluffton, Allen / Hancock Co., Ohio

The ship City of Brussels arrived in New York from Liverpool on 28 June 1875 carrying the Schreiber and Müller families from Norka. They went first to Bluffton, Ohio, a town located on the border of Allan and Hancock Counties, and then continued on to Nebraska.       

There are many Mennonite families who settled in and around Bluffton, Ohio.

Denhoff, Sheridan Co., North Dakota

Denhoff is located along the Northern Pacific Rail Road where a station was located in 1901.  The postoffice there was established 21 December 1901, and John Steinbrecker served as the first postmaster.  The town was named after his Volga German hometown of Dönhof.

Denhoff was settled by Volga German immigrants from Dönhof and Neu-Dönhof.
