Briedel, Kr. Cochem-Zell, Rheinland-Pfalz

From 1376 until the French occupation of 1794, Briedel was part of the Electorate of Trier (German: Kurtrier). In 1815, the Congress of Vienna gave this territory to Prussia. In 1946, it became part of the newly formed German State of Rheinland-Pfalz.
