Johann Georg Abel, a craftsman (Handwerker), his [2nd] wife Elisabeth, and daughter Friederike settled in the Volga German colony of Schulz on 8 September 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 9 [surname erroneously recorded as Gabel].
The 1798 census of Schulz records Georg Abel, Friedrika Weinberger's father, in Household No. Sz20.
The 1767 census records that Johann Georg Abel came from the German village of Meki Schrazau (Cyrillic = Меки Шрезау) [Metzenhausen?] in the Kurpfalz region. His wife Elisabeth came from the German village of Bischoff.
