Johannes Adam [Adamo?] and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the snow-brig Frei Gebruder under the command of Skipper Minzberger.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 11 August 1767.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Adam was a farmer from Hungary while the 1767 census records that he was a weaver (Leineweber) from Venice [Italy].

There are no known surviving male lines of this Adam family among the Volga German colonies.
