Karl Albert, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Refers on 14 September 1766. They settled in the Volga German colony of Norka. He is recorded there on the 1798 census in Household No. Nr057. The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Karl Albert came from the German region of Isenburg.
