Joseph Allkofer, a carpenter (Zimmermann), and his wife Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 May 1766 aboard the Russian galliot named Katharina Eleonora under the command of Skipper Peter Rehder.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Leichtling on 14 May 1767. Joseph is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 33 along with his new wife Walpurgia Frückschäff and daughter [?] Magdalena (age 15½).
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Joseph Allkofer came from the German region of Ansbach. The 1767 census records that Joseph Allkofer came from the German village of Wassertrüdingen in the Ansbach region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Allkofer family among the Volga German colonies.
