Alt (Stephan)*

Johann[es] Alt and his wife Regina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Lieutenant Gawril Poduzki.

Johannes Alt and his wife Regina are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Stephan on 24 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 17.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Alt was a farmer from the German region of Riedesel. The 1767 census records that Johannes Alt was a weaver (Weber) from the German village of Lauterbach.

There do not appear to be any surviving male descendants of this family among the Volga German colonies.
