Katharina Barbara Altersroh and her unnamed husband settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 11 August 1767. Her husband died 20 October 1767. Widow Altersroh is recorded on the 1767 census of Brabander in Household No. 111.

The 1767 census records that the Altersroh family came from the German village of Urach in the Württemberg region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
