Franz Alwe, son of Nikolaus Alwe, and his family from the Volga German colony of Göbel arrived in Baltimore aboard the S.S. Brandenberg on 23 May 1912. They were headed to Topeka, Kansas. The Alwe family has not been located in records of the Volga German colonies.
Descendants of this family have the surname of Allway or Alway.
