Amrein (Hildmann)
Johann Adam Amrain from Schildkröppen [Schöllkrippen] and Anna Maria Kemmer from Alstadt married on 3 May 1766 in Büdingen.
Johann [Adam] Amrein, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the barque named Fortitudo under the command of Skipper John Scott.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Hildmann on 20 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 30 along with the widow Katharina Kern. There is no relationship recorded between the Amrein and Kern families.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Amrein came from the German region of Mainz. The 1767 census records that Adam Amrein came from the German region of Aschaffenburg.
