Ivan Anastas, a farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Husaren on 1 December 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 19 along with his wife Anna.

The 1767 census records that Ivan Anastas came from the village of Konstantinopol in Turkey.
