Joh. David Appel & Maria Eva Weber were married on 28 May 1765 in Roßlau.

Johann David Appel, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his wife Maria Eva Weber settled in the Volga German colony of Schäfer on 1 August 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 2.

The 1767 census records that Johann David Appel came from the German village of Born in the region of Sachsen (Saxony). Maria Eva Weber is recorded as coming from the village of Oberrod in the region of Mainz.
