Arn(h)old (Anton)*
Hans Georg Arnold, a day-laborer (Tagelöhner), his wife Maria Sophia, and children (Johannes, age 15; Anna Barbara, age 13; Maria Barbara / Elisabeth, age 10) immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in Flensburg on 29 May 1762. They are last recorded among the Danish colonies on 12 January 1765.
They joined the migration to Russia and settled in the Volga German colony of Anton on 28 April 1766. Georg Arnhold, a farmer, his wife Maria Sophia, and children (Johannes, age 20; Regina Elisabeth, age 15) are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 26.
The Eichhorns record that Hans Georg Arnold came from the German region of the Kurpfalz. The 1767 census records that he came from the town of Heidelberg in the Kurpfalz region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Arnold family among the Volga German colonies.
