Arn(h)old (Hölzel)*
There are two Arnold sisters who immigrated to Russia: (1) Christina; and (2) Anna.
Stephan Seelmann, a weaver (Weber), his wife Christina, and children (Andreas, age 5; Dorothea, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Heinrich Sager along with his sister-in-law Anna [surname not recorded] (age 18).
Stephan Seelmann, his wife Christina, and sister-in-law Anna Arnold are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Christina [Arnold] and her husband Stephan Seelmann are recorded on the 1767 census of Hölzel in Household No. 44.
Anna Arnold is believed to be recorded on the 1767 census of Hölzel in Household No. 36 as the wife of Nikolaus (junior) Bontemps, with whom they had been traveling from St. Petersburg to Saratov.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Arnold family among the Volga German colonies.
