Heinrich Arnst (age 13) settled in the Volga German colony of Herzog on 14 July 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 17 along with his mother and stepfather, Johannes Pfundner.
The death of Heinrich Arnst on 17 November 1789 at the age of 31 is recorded in the parish register of Herzog.
In 1790, widow Regina Arnst [née Lederhos] and her children moved from Herzog to Enders.
The 1767 census does not record from where he came, but it does record that his mother came from the German village of Pilsheim bei Schmidmühlen in Bayern (Bavaria).
