Discussion & Documentation

Wilhelm Augustus, an innkeeper (Schankwirt), and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 16 September 1764 [this date is probably an error as Kamenka wasn't founded until 1765]. They are recorded on the 1767 census of Kamenka in Household No. 100.

The 1767 census records that Wilhelm Augustus came from the German region of Brandenburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
