Johann Heinrich Böcher, a miller from Appenborn, was married to Elisabetha who died in Odenhausen on 5 November 1746 at the age of 37. He remarried to Anna Maria Höreß, the daughter of Johannes Höreß from Lauter, on 13 November 1749.

This couple had six children, all born in Appenborn and baptized in Kesselbach: (1) Leopold Ludwig, born 28 September 1751, baptized 29 September 1751; (2) Johannes, born 30 June 1754, baptized 2 July 1754; (3) Anna Margaretha, born 26 September 1756, baptized 28 September 1756, died 12 January 1758; (4) Johann Ernst, born 20 January 1759, baptized 21 January 1759; (5) Catharina, born 5 June 1761, baptized 6 June 1761; and (6) Anna Maria, born 7 April 1765, baptized 9 April 1765.

Heinrich Becker, a paper maker, his wife Anna [Maria], children (Leopold, age 16, Johann[es], age 14; Ernst, age 7), and his sister Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 25 August 1767. Widow Maria and sons Leopold and Johannes are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 78.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Heinrich Becker came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that Maria Becker came from the German village of Grünberg in the region of Hessen-Darmstadt.
