A list of Andreas Bauer's debts recorded in Wörlitz in 1766 indicates that he was born in Oranienbaum.
Andreas Bauer, a single miller, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a ship named Die Zwei Gebrüder (The Two Brothers) under the command of Skipper Nicolaus Peter Pinck.
Johann Bauer is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Andreas Bauer, a farmer, and his wife Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Boisroux on 3 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 60.
A note on the 1798 census of Boisrous in Household No. Bx28 records that Wilhelm Bauer is working in the colony of Katharinenstadt.
Lorenz Bauer and his family are recorded on an 1865 list of colonists who resettled to Lilienfeld along with a note that they had arrived in Lilienfeld from Boisroux on 10 March 1859.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Andreas Bauer came from the village of Oranienbaum. The 1767 census records that Andreas Bauer came from the German village of Wörlitz in the Dessau region.
