Beck (Warenburg)*
Abraham Beck, a blacksmith (Schmied), his wife Anna, and children (Anna, age 15; Friederika, age 8; Friedrich, age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Der Jager under the command of Skipper Gabriel Wild.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767. Abraham is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 72 along with his new wife Sophia, and her daughter (Sophia Hannebolet, age 18).
The 1767 census records that Abraham Beck came from the German village of Nieder-Ingelheim in the Kurpfalz region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Beck family among the Volga German colonies.
