Johannes Becker, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Herzog on 14 July 1766 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 6.
The 1767 census records that Johannes Becker came from the German village of Ebernburg in the Zweibrücken region.
