Beier / Beyer (Philippsfeld)*
Widow Anna Maria Beier and her children (Johann, age 21; Just, age 18; Anna, age 4) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Widow Anna Maria Bayer [sic] and her son Johannes (age 21) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Widow Maria Beier and her son Just Burgard (age 20) are recorded on the 1767 census of Philippsfeld in Household No. 19. Her son Johann Heinrich Beier and his [new] wife Anna are recorded in Household No. 20. They had settled in Philippsfeld on 3 August 1767.
The 1767 census records that Maria Beier and her son Johann Heinrich Beier came from the German village of Friedewald.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Beier family among the Volga German colonies.
