Beier (Warenburg)

Jacob Bier & Barbara Elisabeth Blinn [also recorded as Blinnd & Blinng] were married in Pfeffelbach on 16 May 1736. Their son Johann Heinrich Bier was born about 1738 in Lichtenberg [now Thallichtenberg].

Johann Heinrich Bier married Maria Rosina Scherer in the Reformed parish church of Pfeffelbach on 10 July 1764. Maria Rosina Scherer, daughter of Andreas Scherer, had been born on 28 September 1742 in Pfeffelbach and was baptized in the church there on 3 October 1742.

Johann Heinrich Bier & Maria Rosina Scherer had a daughter, Anna Juliana, who was born in Lichtenberg on 15 June 1765 and baptized in Pfeffelbach on 19 June 1765.

[Johann] Heinrich Beier, his wife Rosina, and daughter Julianna (age 1) arrived from Reval at the port of Oranienbaum aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 118.

Heinrich Beier and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Warenburg in Household No. Wr040.

The death of Heinrich Beier in 1808 is recorded on the 1811 census of Warenburg in Household No. 40.

Descendants of Heinrich Beier are recorded on the 1834 census of Warenburg in Households No. 26 & 28).

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Heinrich Beier was a farmer from the German region of Zweibrücken. The 1767 census records that he was a mason (Maurer) from the German village of Lichtenberg in the Zweibrücken region.
