Johann Jacob Benner [sic], son of Johann Georg Bender, was confirmed in 1751 in Windhausen. [Johann Georg Bender was buried in Windhausen on 28 October 1750 - age 36 years old.]

On 10 November 1765, Johann Jacob Bender moved to Merlau.

Johann Jacob Bender from Windhausen married on 8 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen to Anna Juliana Grün, daughter of Johann Caspar Grün from Merlau. She had been born in Merlau on 5 August 1742.

[Johann] Jakob Bender, a farmer, his wife Anna Elisabeth, and son Johann Christoph (age 1) are recorded on the 1767 census of Stephan in Household No. 29. They had settled there on 24 August 1767.

Johann Jakob Bender and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Stephan in Household No. Sp26.

The 1767 census records that Jakob Bender came from the German village of Windhausen in the Darmstadt region.
