Georg Bengler and his family immigrated to Russia, arriving from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 18 Jun 1766 aboard the ship Mann & Frau under the command of skipper Daniel Berg. They settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 16 August 1767. Georg died 13 October 1767. His widow and children are recorded in Preuss on the 1767 census in Household No. 130.
