Lars Bergstrom, a single refiner (Zuckersieder), arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 August 1766 aboard a ship named Der Friede (Peace) under the command of Skipper Hans Karck.
Lars Bergstrom is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
He is recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Beauregard in Household No. 81 along with a note that he continued to live in Beauregard in 1768.
The 1767 census records that Lars Bergstrom came from the Swedish town of Stockholm.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Bergstrom family among the Volga German colonies.
