Bertram (Kraft)
Johann Bertram, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Kraft on 18 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 33 along with Johann's brother Johann Georg (age 16).
Johann Bertram and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Kraft in Households No. Kf02, Kf39, & Kf53.
Konrad Bertram and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Dreispitz in Household No. 76.
The 1767 census records that Johann Bertram came from the German village of Gießen in the district of Isenburg.
