Three Beutel brothers (Conrad, Johann Heinrich, and Johannes), sons of Conrad Beutel, and their families settled in the Volga German colony of Yagodnaya Polyana on 16 September 1767. Georg Kromm's research that was published in 1912 records that the Beutel family came from the German village of Wallernhausen.

(1) Conrad Beutel's confirmation is recorded in Wallernhausen in 1750.

Conrad Beutel from Wallernhausen married Eliesabetha [sic] Ludwig, daughter of Johann Heinrich Ludwig from Unterschmidt [Unter-Schmitten], on 26 June 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.

Johann Konrad Beutel, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard the galliot Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

Conrad Beutel and his wife Elisabeth are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Johann Konrad Beutel (age 29), a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth are recorded on the 1767 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 24.

Konrad Beutel and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. Yp12.

(2) Johann Heinrich Beutel's baptism is recordedin Wallernhausen on 3 September 1741, and he was confirmed there in 1756.

Johan Hinrich [sic] Boitel [sic], a farmer from the area of Darmstadt, & Maria Elisabeth Gerlitz from the area of Darmstadt were married on 29 July 1766 in Pastor Bruns's house in Lübeck. The marriage is recorded in the parish register of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church in Lübeck.

Johann Heinrich Beutel (age 26), a farmer, and his wife Maria Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the snow-brig Die Frau Dietrika under the command of Skipper Joachim Friedrich Luhn.

Johann Heinrich Beutel, a farmer, and his wife Maria Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Yagodyana Polyana on 16 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 51 along with his father-in-law Johann Heinrich Görlitz.

Heinrich Beutel and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. Yp80.

(3) Johannes Beutel's baptism is recorded in Wallernhausen on 20 November 1746, and he was confirmed there in 1761.

Johannes Beutel from Wallernhausen & Friedericka Eliesabetha Stang from Wallernhausen were married on 27 June 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen. [See Stang Family.]

Johannes Beutel, a farmer, and his wife Anna Elisabeth are recorded on the 1767 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 25.

Johannes Beutel and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. Yp69.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that each of these Beutel families came from the German region of Darmstadt while the 1767 census records that they came from the German region of Nidda.
