Bischof (Katharinenstadt)*
Christoph Bischof, his wife Sophia Christina, and children (Johanna, age 9½; Henrietta, age 4; Kaspar, age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 September 1766.
Christoph Bischoff, his wife Sophia Christina, and daughters (Johanna, age 11½; Henrietta, age 5) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that Henrietta died in route.
Christoph Bischof, a cloth weaver (Tuchweber), his wife Sophia Katharina Müller, and daughter Johanna (age 12) are recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 139. They had settled there on 3 August 1767.
The 1767 census records that Christoph Bischof came from the German region of Dessau.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Bischof family among the Volga German colonies.
