Bischof(f) (Seelmann)*
Jakob Bischoff and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the galliot named Kronshlot under the command of Skipper Ivan Kunakovskii.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Seelmann on 16 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 35.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Jakob Bischoff is a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a painter (Lackierer).
The 1767 census records that Jakob Bischoff came from the village of Rorschach in Switzerland.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Bischoff family among the Volga German colonies.
