Bittner (Katharinenstadt)
Johann Georg Bütner, a weaver, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pinkom.
Johann Büttner, his wife Susanna, and children (Georg Elias, age 18; Margaretha, age 15¼; Catharina, born in route) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that newborn Catharina also died in route. George Schmidt is also traveling with them.
Johann Georg Bütner, a weaver (Weber), his wife Susanna, children (Georg Elias, age 19; Sibilla, age 17; Georg Konrad, age 4-days), and stepson Georg Schmidt (age 20) are recorded on the 1767 census of Boisroux in Household No. 58. They has arrived in Boisroux on 3 August 1767.
Elias Bittner and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. Ka002.
The 1767 census records that Johann Georg Bütner came from the German village of Schleusingen in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).
