There are three Bleitz families that arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard the 2-masted merchant ship named Anna Katharina under the command of Skipper Adolph Scharpenberg. Their relationship to each other, if any, needs further research.
(1) Peter Bleitz, a farmer, his wife Christina, and daughter Maria (age ¾) arrived in Oranienbaum.
Peter Bleitz and his family are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 29. They had arrived in Keller on 12 May 1767.
The 1798 census of Neu-Kolonie records Peter Bleitz in Household No. Nk35.
(2) Johann Adam Bleitz, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived in Oranienbaum.
Adam Bleitz and his wife Marianna are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 30. They had arrived in Keller on 12 May 1767.
(3) Johann Bleitz, a single farmer, arrived in Oranienbaum. He does not appear to have made it to the Volga German colonies.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that both of these Bleitz families came from the German region of Mainz. The 1767 census records that they both came from the German village of Kempten in the Kurmainz region.
