Adolph Bock, a cobbler, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Anna, age 3; Johann, age ½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 7 May 1766 aboard the galliot named Anna Katharina under the command of Skipper Daniel Heyer.
Adolph Bock, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), and his wife Elisabeth Hell are recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 94. They had settled there on 5 March 1767.
Adolph Bock, a cobbler (Schuster), his wife Elisabeth Dorothea née Hell, and daughter Anna Maria (age 4) are recorded on the 1776 Katharinenstadt Grundbuch [Land Register] in Household No. 103 along with a note that another child Karl Christoph was born 13 February 1777.
The Kuhlberg list and the 1767 census as well as the 1776 Katharinenstadt Land Register record that Adolph Bock came from the German village of Grünberg. The 1767 census and the 1776 Katharinenstadt Land Register record that Elisabeth Hell came from the German region of Darmstadt.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Bock family among the Volga German colonies.
