Joseph Boquere, a surgeon (Feldscher), settled in the Volga German colony of Franzosen on 16 May 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 45 along with his new wife Anna Dorothea.
The 1767 census records that Joseph Boquere came from the French village of Banne.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
