Bott (Kraft)*
Michael Bott & [Anna] Margaretha Schwab [daughter of Johannes Schwab & Adelheit Plock - see Schwab Family] were married on 2 July 1766 in the Reformed Church in Lübeck. [Anna Margaretha Schwab had been baptized 4 June 1747 in Fauerbach.]
Michael Bott and his wife Anna Margaretha [Schwab] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov along with her parents and brother.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Kraft on 18 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 38.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Michael Bott was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a cobbler (Schuhmacher).
The 1767 census records that Michael Bott came from the German village of Steinau an der Straße [?] in the Hanau region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Bott family among the Volga German colonies.
