Friedrich Böttcher, a window maker (Fensterschreiner), his wife Anna, and children (Frauke, age 5¼; Anna, age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 May 1766 aboard the galliot named Adler (Eagle) under the command of the Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.
Friedrich Böttcher is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They arrived in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 55.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Friedrich Böttcher came from the German region of Holstein. The 1767 census records that Friedrich Böttcher came from the German town of Schleswig in the Holstein region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Böttcher family among the Volga German colonies.
