Johannes Bouillon, a farmer, and his wife Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard the galliot Der Jan under the command of Skipper Markus Dragun.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 5 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 71.
The 1767 census records that Johannes Bouillon came from Lackot (?) near Dafin (?). [This location could refer to the village of La Côte-Saint-André which was located in the historical French Province of Dauphiné. Further research is needed to determine whether or not this is the correct location of this family.]
